About me
Alex is Science Engagement & Senior Network Engineer at KAUST since 2021. His works in projects to support KAUST’s advanced network infrastructure to support scientists to drive research innovation. With experience and background in Research and Education Networks, WAN, routing, ISP operations, and academic contributions, Alex focus on network performance measurement and optimization for large data-intensive research. He is developing the next generation Data Transfer Service for KAUST, improving its Science DMZ and Data Transfer Nodes. He is passionate about enhancing scientific engagement, and works with Research and Education Networks globally for the advancement of scientific research outcomes. Alex is member of the Leadership Team of the Global Network Advancement Group (GNA-G) and some of its work groups: AutoGOLE/SENSE, Data Intensive Science, GREN Map, Network Automation, GREN Routing, GREN Engineering Advancement. Alex is a member of the ACM / IEEE.
